Artist Martha Van Loan is a graduate of Syracuse University with Degree in Fine Arts specialized in Painting and Illustration. She received her Masters of Fine Arts at the University of Oregon with a two year terminal degree specializing in Visual Design.
She developed a large series of landscape watercolors which were award winning and also very popular Social Comment paintings and Drawings that were included in major exhibitions at museums and Galleries both in the US and Europe. She was known as a New Realist and ahead of her times with her Political and Social themes.
While working in the commercial art field, graphics, fashion illustration, Advertising Design, and Architectural/Engineering Design the artist was developing a hobby with her Irish Wolfhounds. After creating a pencil portrait of a beautiful Irish Wolfhound, friends convinced her to make a Limited Edition Print to share with other Irish Wolfhound owners. Other breed owners requested art work and Van Loan Studios was begun and since then her work has been collected around the world. For several years she operated a Gallery in New Hope , PA specializing in Animal Art and traveled throughout the US attending AKC Shows.

Club Projects...
The artist, Martha Van Loan has created many images specifically for Club projects and will work with your group or individuals to create a unique art work and products for Trophies, Awards, Fund Raising, Judges Gifts, Memorials, Logos and Shirts.
We design a total package to fit your budget and needs. Most projects are developed for Trophy packages at least one year in advance. A written estimate and contract will be provided. We understand the time constraints and AKC requirements for Trophy packages and have created many awards for National and Regional Specialties all arriving on time.
A sample is shown here. This favorite is the "Composite" of the Breed made into Limited Edition prints for the High Awards. The images around the edge of the "Master Image" are made into individual Limited Edition Prints for 1st Place and Pen and Ink Drawings made into Limited Editions are ideal for the last three placements and non-regular classes. Originals are available for BOB or the Club Auction.

The artist will be accepting a very limited number of Custom assignments for her patrons. Both Acrylic and Watercolor Paintings are options. She has created small paintings and lifesize paintings working from photographs or combinations of photos to capture the character and look of the models. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
